Need Help With How To Level A Mage? Read This

Have you been looking into how to level a Mage? If that’s the case, before you get started, you may want to know what the Mage is all about.

The Mage is a staple to any MMORPG, they are a ranged class that deals heavy damage from a distance but are very weak and mana dependent. They do have a lot of fun spells though like polymorph, which turns enemies into sheep, the ability to summon temporary water elementals and conjure up food and water.

But lets get to the nuts and bolts of how to level a Mage now shall we? If you’re leveling as a mage, your options are pretty simple, either go for fire or frost. Its best you go with frost though.

In the early levels, you’ll basically be casting Frostbolt over and over again until the enemy is right up in front of you, at which point you’ll finish with a Cone of Cold or your wand. This will take you up to level 40 without a hitch.

Upon hitting level 40, you’re going to change the way you do things slightly. You will start with the Frostbolts as before, however when the enemy gets close you will cast Ice Nova, then kill them off with a final Frostbolt. This will take you up to level 60.

From level 60 to 80 things will get a bit more complicated. You will begin by casting Ice Barrier then cast Summon Water Elemental and have him attack the enemy. After that, just Frostbolt the enemy again, cast Cone of Cold and finish with an Ice Lance.

That’s about all you need to know to get yourself up to level 80. You can go down the fire tree instead if you wanted, however keep in mind it’s not as fast.

If you’ve had a look at all this info and still have questions on how to level a Mage, it’s probably best you find a guide that is more lengthy.
